What is a mold core?
The most vulnerable part of the die casting mold is called the mold core that is used to fabricate the hole and part of abnormal shape on the aluminum die cast. Due to its vulnerability, it is separated from the mold and becomes an independent, replaceable and easily manufactured part. It is a part of the mold.
Significance of the Mold Core
The shape part of the mold is the most vulnerable part. To deal with this problem, the shape part of the mold is designed into an independent mold core product. In case of any problem rising, the whole mold does not need to be discarded. Instead the mold is dissembled to replace the mold core. In so doing, the manufacturing cost is greatly reduced.
